Vanessa Ugatti, proprietor of Watch Out World, abseiled down CanberraTowers, a 265 foot block of high-rise flats in Southampton on behalf of the Jubilee Sailing Trust on Saturday, 31 July 2010.  Vanessa says that it’s important to step out of one's comfort zone to have new experiences.   Normally, the main challenge with this kind of event is the waiting around.  The mind has a tendency to create all sorts of fear-based scenarios which only goes to intimidate the participant.  The most effective way to manage this is by completely shifting focus.  One way to achieve this is by focusing on a specific time in your life when you felt really confident.  By bringing in all your senses, sight, hearing, smell, feeling, you will re-experience that occasion as if it were real.
