Thanks for a really great day yesterday!  It was fun and I got a lot of value from it.  Have just reported back to Richard my boss and he said it sounded like a worthwhile distraction from my daily duties in the office! 

Was very sad to hear about your recent bereavements - and quite surprised as well.  For someone who has been through all that, you were extremely "together" and didn't seem preoccupied in any way.  That's the sign of a true professional. 

I really admire you for everything that you do and have done throughout your interesting life so far.  And I think you are probably the strongest lady I have ever met - apart from my mum!
